Consumable Workbooks

Each family buys a few consumable workbooks per student. BAHA supplies everything else. Detailed grade-level lists appear below.

Science and History

Each family also buys one Science book and one History book. Families with students only in Kindergarten and/or 1st grade do not need these.

Read Alouds

Each year BAHA provides a read-aloud list that matches the history reading. A parent reads these books aloud to all students at once. The stories are meant to make the history come alive for the whole family.

General Supplies

Each student should bring pencils, scissors, a glue stick, a ruler, and crayons or colored pencils. Spanish students need a spiral notebook in any color except red.

Science

Grades K-5 Science Book: Apologia Exploring Creation Zoology 2: Swimming Creatures

Only one book is needed per family. Families with only Kindergarten or 1st graders do not need it.

History

Grades 2-5 History: Ancient Times

  1. Story of the World, Volume 1: Ancient Times
  2. The Golden Children's Bible

Only one book is needed per family. Neither book is required for Kindergarten or 1st grade.

Families can follow the week-by-week topic guides from the History team, plus the supplemental reading suggestions, to choose reading that fits their family and brings the content to life. Adapt the plan to suit your family.

Bible

This is the Bible curriculum used in Chapel. Keeping a copy at home is recommended so families can follow along with Chapel lessons. This is recommended but not required.
